Wood floors and exposed brick walls support well-considered displays of unique European items: Harris Tweed, Irish sweaters, Scottish tartan, French glassware, English pottery, Celtic jewelry, children’s toys, and a quirky collection of clocks that you’ll not find anywhere else. Doctor Who and Beatles fans will fall in love with the assorted fan merchandise and gift ideas the store has to offer. Meet the Owners

What started as a part-time retirement project has blossomed into a six-day-a-week passion for Carl and Rita Hulme, owners of Blimey’s British Store and Gift Shop. Raised in Manchester, UK, Carl brings a background in sales and marketing to the business, while Rita brings an eye for unusual items that are sure to become favourites. Together, the two have identified a niche market for things that are uniquely British. They’ve also managed to tap into a world of avid fans. British ex-patriots who miss the comforts of home are regular customers, alongside New World converts who’ve been to the UK and developed a special appreciation for interesting food and unique gifts.
