Inside the renovated 1920 barn that serves as a retail store and event centre, winemaker Peter Pfeifer and a team of talented chefs create memorable flavours. The seasonal menu focuses on fresh, local ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Meet Anne Neydon Wilson

At Oxley Estate Winery, they’re taking the time to get it right. “Patience is the root of good taste,” says owner Ann Neydon Wilson. Careful consideration and several years of research took Ann and her husband Murray to wine-making regions around the world to find out first-hand what it takes to run a successful vineyard and winery. In 2010, they purchased the farm they named Oxley Bluff Farm and by 2012 they had grapes. The rest, as they say, is history. When Ann has free time, she likes to volunteer and give back to the community that has been so generous to her. She loves the Essex region for its cultural diversity and its supportive environment. “Essex County is a forward-thinking community with agricultural richness,” she says with a smile.
